Juniper & Co. is not a real store. It is a demo of Plainseek, a WooCommerce plugin that lets shoppers search in plain language.
What to try
- A price and a color in one search: red dress under $50.
- A need instead of a product name: warm jacket for rain under $100.
- A typo: snekers.
- A word the store does not use: couch finds the sofas, through a synonym.
- The Ask button, for the shopping assistant.
- The admin, with the See the admin link at the top of the page. It shows the settings and the search analytics.
What is different in this demo
Plainseek’s AI mode uses the store owner’s own API key. This demo has no key, so meaning-based search is off, and the shopping assistant uses a short script in place of an AI model. Plainseek still finds the products and store pages for each question, but the wording of the replies is scripted. Keyword search, query understanding, typo tolerance, synonyms, and analytics are the real plugin.
Checkout is turned off, and the demo resets every night.
